Going Beyond Google

With the prevalence of Chromebooks and the number of school districts using Google, may teachers are familiar with the basics of Google Classroom and are using it with their students. But there are many third party apps which can be used with your Google classroom and offer more ways to integrate technology into your lessons - apps such as Pixton for Schools, Mind Meister, Padlet and more, too many to list here. Some of these apps come with content-based lesson plans and other apps are tools which can be easily inserted into the lessons you already have.
This session will briefly cover the basics of getting started with Google Classroom, but the focus will be on exploring the different third party apps and how they can be used in the content classroom. Specific lesson ideas and techniques will be shared.
